As human beings, we have the power to actively adapt ourselves to the world and its changes.
But, to adapt, we must first know what is changing, what we are adapting to.More importantly, to know, we must first allow ourselves to know.
But how do we do that?
Simple. We don’t deny. What reality presents, we accept. it may take time, but eventually we must allow it to happen.
Now, an adjoining tangent: it is said that we cannot love others without loving ourselves. But how can we do this? Denying ourselves doesn’t help; if we deny what we are, then we’re automatically cutting ourselves off (after all, how can you love what you do not know?). And how can we love another when we won’t even accept the reality of ourselves (especially when we share so many similarities and relationships that connect us to each other)? Rejecting what something is automatically cuts us off from loving it.
Love is important because it presents a mindset which requires acceptance. One can accept without loving; however, one cannot love without acceptance. And to accept change in a mutable world, we must not only accept what reality is being presented before us, but the reality of our own beings, on all levels.
One way to do it is with love.
