People often assume “perfection” to mean without flaws. In one sense this is true…but it misses the point of core meaning of Perfection.

Perfection simply means not needing change, or not changing. Oftentimes, this means that the object is so flawless, that it does not need any more effort to make it any purer.

Sometimes, we mean it to mean something more subtle. When someone tells their loved one that they are perfect, what exactly does it mean? Do they find their loved one to be flawless in every way as a human being? Or…do they see the flaws and shortcomings, but love their loved ones to such a degree that they would not want them to change at all?

Imperfection can be perfect.
